Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
Last Updated: July 15, 2026
Claxton Law PLLC ("Claxton Law," "we," "us," or "our") is an immigration law firm. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share personal information when you visit claxtonlawgroup.com (the "Site"), contact our office, or communicate with us by email, phone, or text message.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us. When you fill out a form on the Site — such as our contact form, a consultation request, an eligibility quiz, a downloadable guide or training request, or our newsletter signup — we collect the information you choose to provide. Depending on the form, this may include:
- Your name;
- Email address;
- Phone number;
- Information about your immigration situation or legal inquiry (for example, your answers to eligibility quiz questions or the message you write to us).
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including your browser type, IP address, time zone, the pages you view, the website or search terms that referred you, and how you interact with the Site. We collect this using cookies, log files, and similar technologies (see Cookies & Analytics below).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and consultation requests;
- Communicate with you about your case or potential case, including by email, phone, and — with your consent — text message;
- Send you appointment reminders and follow-ups;
- Deliver resources you request, such as guides, trainings, and quiz results;
- Send newsletters and information about our services, where you have opted in;
- Operate, improve, and secure the Site, including through analytics;
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and professional obligations.
3. SMS/Text Messaging Program
Claxton Law PLLC offers text messaging as a way to communicate with clients and prospective clients who have opted in.
How you opt in. You consent to receive text messages from us when you provide your phone number and check the SMS consent box on one of our website forms, or when you otherwise give us your express written consent (for example, in an engagement agreement or by texting us first). Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any services from us.
What we send. Messages may include replies to your inquiry, consultation scheduling and appointment reminders, case status updates, requests for documents or information, and occasional informational messages about our services.
Message frequency varies depending on your interaction with our office (for example, you may receive more messages while we are scheduling your consultation and fewer at other times).
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard messaging and data rates apply to messages you send and receive. Claxton Law PLLC does not charge for text messages, but you are responsible for any charges from your carrier.
How to opt out. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and you will receive no further text messages from us unless you opt in again. You may also opt out by emailing contact@claxtonlawgroup.com or calling (321) 204-4116.
How to get help. Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at contact@claxtonlawgroup.com or (321) 204-4116.
We do not share your mobile information for marketing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding vendors and service providers acting on our behalf solely to deliver our messages to you.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share personal information only with:
- Service providers who help us operate our practice and this Site — such as website hosting, customer relationship management (CRM) and email platforms, appointment scheduling, telephone/text messaging services, and analytics providers — and who may use the information only to provide services to us;
- Legal and regulatory authorities, where required to comply with applicable law, a subpoena, or another lawful request, or to protect our rights;
- Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or reorganization of our practice, subject to the confidentiality obligations that apply to law firms.
As stated above, mobile opt-in data and SMS consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Information you share with us in the course of seeking or receiving legal representation may also be protected by attorney-client privilege and our professional duty of confidentiality, which impose stricter obligations than this Privacy Policy.
